Modern-day poverty alleviation specialist Zhao Long falls off a cliff while traveling to a rural village and accidentally time-travels to the Qin Dynasty. He mistakes Qin Shi Huang, Ying Zheng, who is performing a ceremony to Heaven, for the village chief of a poor village. Ying Zheng believes he is a divine being sent from Heaven and conceals his imperial identity, bringing Li Si, Meng Tian, and others to disguise themselves as villagers and cooperate with Zhao Long's poverty alleviation efforts. Focused entirely on eliminating poverty, Zhao Long smelts iron to make axes, invents paper, improves farming techniques, and even inadvertently reveals that the Great Qin Dynasty will fall after just two generations. Determined to rewrite his empire's doomed fate, Ying Zheng wholeheartedly supports Zhao Long's development projects. As Zhao Long leads 'Zhao Family Village' toward prosperity, he remains completely unaware that the people around him are all powerful nobles of the Qin Dynasty. Thus begins a hilarious cross-era poverty alleviation adventure.
