In his previous life, Lu Chuan risked his life to save others during a mudslide disaster, only to be abandoned and killed by his uncle Lu Daqiang and fiancée Su Qingyue. Reborn seven days before the mudslide outbreak, he persuaded his family to relocate to an abandoned watchtower halfway up the mountain, exhausted his financial resources to stockpile supplies, and joined forces with Lin Wan to transform the disaster-relief fortress. As the mudslide and extreme cold wave struck one after another, people at the foot of the mountain coveted the fortress's supplies and repeatedly attacked. Relying on the fortress's defense to weather numerous crises, Lu Chuan preserved evidence to prove his innocence and treated kind-hearted survivors well. After the river valley was designated as a restricted zone, Lu Chuan and Lin Wan built a mid-mountain disaster prevention base, led the survivors to reclaim wasteland, and rebuilt their homeland above the ruins.
