In the 1980s, heavy snow sealed off the Greater Khingan Mountains. Chen Jinshui, a wood thief, and his gang hid in an ancient dugout cabin, ignoring the ancient taboos of the mountains and forests and destroying the stone statue of the mountain god. Chen Dongsheng, a young forest ranger, retrieved the broken stone tiger amidst the ice and snow. With his mother critically ill, he received guidance from the mountain lord to venture deep into desperate straits to gather herbs to save her life, holding firm to his original intentions in the face of heavy financial temptation. However, his greedy second uncle insisted on dynamiting the mountain to dig for gold, triggering a devastating avalanche. The young man used his flesh and blood as a sacrifice to protect all living beings in the forest farm, using a sincere heart to ferry across the wind and snow of the mortal world.
