Xiao Chen, the greatest independent cultivator in the world, lives in seclusion by the shores of Cangyuan Lake, spending his days fishing and raising dogs. Seven years later, a cute little girl hugs his leg and calls him "Daddy," accompanied by a mysterious woman who is gravely injured.
