Xie Wufeng, a swordsmith who cannot gather sword energy, sets out for the Nine Peaks Sword Assembly with nothing but a blunt, edgeless sword. Along the way, he and Qin Zhaoxue rescue Duan Chi and unexpectedly discover a conspiracy hidden within the assembly. Someone is secretly collecting sword cultivators' techniques and weaknesses in an attempt to forge an invincible divine sword. As the competition progresses, underground mechanisms and mysterious sword formations gradually come to light. Surrounded by powerful enemies, Xie Wufeng draws upon his sword-forging mastery to find openings and overcome each predicament, ultimately shattering the conspiracy. Yet he also learns that beyond the mountains, another sword-path crisis remains unresolved.
