A restaurant makes a handsome profit in a year, and the boss hands out bonuses to appease the staff. However, head chef Wang Dazhuang is insatiably greedy, leaning on his culinary skills to demand fifty percent of the profits. After being refused, he leads the chefs and waiters to collectively resign, and even opens a shop across the street to steal customers. They smugly think they are the pillars who propped up the store, little knowing that the restaurant's booming business entirely relies on the corporate clientele brought by the boss. Betrayal, smearing, and covert sabotage play out in turn; the ungrateful people self-destruct their futures out of greed, while the boss holds fast to his original intentions and is good at recognizing talent, expanding all the way with vision and strength to turn a small shop into a chain of large restaurants.
