Unemployed angler Lin Yue falls into the water and time travels to Great Chu, transforming into a debt-ridden and destitute scholar. Once the five-day deadline arrives, he must repay his debts. Fresh fish in troubled times are extremely precious, and locals do not know how to fish. Relying on his fishing skills from his past life, Lin Yue stages a desperate comeback, saves his wife, and leads the entire village to make a living through the fishing industry. Unexpectedly, this attracts creditors and corrupt wealthy merchants who take turns giving him a hard time. Lin Yue fights side by side with his wife Su Wan and swordswoman Mu Ling, develops the fish farming industry, and collects evidence to incriminate corrupt officials in return. Ultimately, he makes a counterattack to become the imperial Directorate of Fisheries, promotes fish farming methods, and a single pond of fresh fish stirs up the entire Great Chu Dynasty.
