Guarding the Sophora Tree Grocery Store, I Helped Grandma Turn Her Life Around
Lin Xiaoman, divorced and with her daughter Hehe, returns to her hometown and lives by running a failing grocery store in Huashu Village. Grandma Chen Guixiang falls and becomes paralyzed, and relatives shirk their duties of caring for her in their old age. Xiaoman resolutely takes Grandma back to take care of her. After Grandma moves in, the grocery store's business improves, but her eldest uncle, second aunt, and cousin Lin Yaozu grow greedy, successively staging live shows for money, forging IOUs, spreading rumors and making reports, and even kidnapping Grandma and setting fire to destroy the store. Xiaoman adheres to her original intention, cares for the elderly, and delivers affordable meals to lonely elderly people in the village, receiving help from her neighbors. After the disaster, everyone helps rebuild, and Xiaoman turns the grocery store into an elderly care mutual aid station, realizing that good fortune stems from the kindness accumulated by Grandma throughout her life.
