After graduating, Gao Xiaoyao moves into her aunt's river-view apartment, only to be mistaken for an easy-to-bully young tenant by her across-the-hall neighbor, Wang Meijuan. Determined to buy the apartment at a low price, Wang Meijuan resorts to blocking the doorway with a shoe rack, imposing her own rules, secretly filming and spreading rumors, and pressuring her with other neighbors, all in an attempt to drive her out.
