In the ninth year of becoming the Prince Regent's dark guard, Jiang Yetang decided to leave him. She walked into an inconspicuous apothecary in the south of the city, and exchanged ten taels of silver for a fake death pill. The shopkeeper told her that after taking this pill, her pulse would gradually weaken, her breathing would completely cease on the seventh day, and she would wake up three days later. Jiang Yetang swallowed the pill and turned to walk towards the Prince Regent's mansion.
