When the Gu family divides its assets, Gu Yan receives nothing but a dilapidated zoo drowning in debt and on the verge of closure. After cutting ties with his biased family, he unexpectedly gains the supernatural ability to understand animals' thoughts. He saves a panda giving birth to quadruplets, creates wildly popular animal performances that respect their natural instincts without forcing them to perform, and reconnects with an old acquaintance, Shen Zhiwei, to establish a partnership. His elder brother, Gu Jingchen, and rival Zhao Hongyuan resort to increasingly underhanded schemes, including stealing animal babies, poisoning, poaching staff, and arson, to sabotage the zoo. But Gu Yan repeatedly foils their plans through animals' warnings and livestreams that prove his innocence. He also establishes a legitimate wildlife rescue center. When the villains' crimes are exposed, both are sentenced, and the Gu family collapses completely. After rebuilding, the zoo, now called Lingqi, becomes a national-level wildlife conservation demonstration base. On its reopening day, Gu Yan proposes to Shen Zhiwei.
