A mother, to protect her child, bears the pain and transforms into stone. The child in swaddling clothes is rescued by the city lord, but his congenital heart meridians are damaged, making it hard to cultivate. When the youth grows up, he encounters danger and is injured by a demon, leaving him in critical condition. A master brings out a family-heirloom soul-protecting pearl to save him, with an engagement between the two families as the condition. The youth receives special leg techniques taught by a mysterious person; while the spiritual pearl can only stabilize his injuries, this cultivation method can gradually repair his heart meridians. He secretly practices bitterly, his body improving day by day, and wants to enter the mountains to hunt demons for practical experience, but is blocked by his city lord father.
