Gu Qinglan, founding council chair of Yunze Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Institute and specially-appointed professor at Jiangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, for the sake of the family, hid all her glory, silently giving twenty-six years in the Qin family, decocting medicine and doing housework, using personal assets to support her son Qin Yu'an's business startup, and subsidizing her granddaughter Qin Yu'tong's educational expenses. Qin Yu'tong prepares for an overseas medical school online interview, cursing Gu Qinglan in front of the camera in English as a free old maid, knocking over the medicine pot and scalding Gu Qinglan's back of the hand. The family ignores the injury, instead blaming the old woman for being petty. Gu Qinglan's heart dies completely, opening the dust-covered ancient wooden medicine box, seeing the old appointment letter and international delegation invitation text message, determined to no longer continue bottomlessly supporting the Qin family.
