Shen Qiuhe, the owner of a snail rice noodle shop at a night market, has kept her restroom open for free to help customers in need ever since the public toilet at the end of the street was closed three years ago. She even pays out of her own pocket for its cleaning and maintenance. But when exhaustion finally gets the better of her and she starts charging one yuan to cover the costs, a misleadingly edited video pushes her into the center of a public controversy. Heartbroken, she personally builds a brick wall to seal off the restroom. Only after everyone on the street experiences the same hardships she endured do they finally understand that kindness should never be taken for granted. As she tends to her little noodle shop, Shen Qiuhe realizes that she alone gets to decide who may enter her door.
