In an old house in a small town, Zhang Lingyu encounters Edward, an Italian vampire who intends to steal a peachwood talisman. Lingyu stops him and discovers his true identity. To resolve family disputes, Edward teams up with Lingyu and pretends to be her boyfriend to avoid blind dates. Edward displays his many talents at the Celestial Masters' Residence, winning the affection of the family and becoming their unofficial 'Women's Federation Director.' Despite their vastly different identities, their feelings for each other deepen, but family obstacles stand in their way. They devise a fake attack, and Lingyu uses the peachwood talisman to save the residence and prove her abilities, raising her standing within the family. In the end, the two overcome their difficulties and marry, with Edward joining Lingyu's family as a live-in son-in-law, bringing reconciliation to both families.
