Just as the rabbit farm begins turning a profit, Wu Yongcai and his wife betray their benefactor, drive out Chen Chang'an, the partner who provided the capital and did the hard work, and seize the entire business for themselves. But without Chen Chang'an's connections and credibility, their export orders are rejected, credit purchases must be paid for upfront, and their sales channels are completely blocked. Rather than regret their actions, the couple switches to inferior feed, squanders their money, falsifies accounts, and ignores the veterinarian's warnings and basic farming standards.
