Six-year-old Shen Zhiyou is born with extraordinary strength. Carrying an enormous black iron sword, she descends the mountain on her master's orders to find her five senior brothers and sisters. Along the way, she storms the Myriad Forms Sword Sect, the Demon Realm, the Pill Domain, the Myriad Swords Pavilion, and the Heavenly Secrets Pavilion, using her innocence and brute strength to reunite with them. However, she is repeatedly obstructed by Su Wunian, her master's fellow junior sister, who fell from immortality because of an old love and wants to prevent Shen Qingfeng from ascending to immortality. Shen Zhiyou fights her way into the Hall of the Celestial Palace, where the Jade Emperor offers a condition: Su Wunian will be spared, but Shen Qingfeng must never ascend. Shen Qingfeng chooses to stay behind, and master and disciples are finally reunited. Su Wunian is also brought back to life and remains on Qingyun Mountain. The ending hints that Shen Zhiyou may be the reincarnation of the Third Crown Prince, but her master chooses to let her live as an ordinary, happy mortal.
