Young engineer Jiang Che is reborn with memories of his past life back to exactly one month before the extreme cold natural disaster arrives. Facing business partners and relatives who plot against and squeeze him out, he decisively sells all his assets, secretly builds an independent constant-temperature steel ecological fortress in the suburbs, and hoards hundreds of tons of supplies, only to be mocked by everyone as a madman who squandered his family fortune. When the deadly blizzard and perpetual acid rain sweep across the globe as scheduled and the outside world falls into a frozen standstill, the former mockers freeze to death, get trapped, and suffer the consequences of their own actions. Relying on his superior technological reserves and iron-fisted rules, Jiang Che lights up the warm current of the entire city with geothermal and modern agricultural-industrial systems, leading the pragmatic to rebuild civilization upon the glacial ruins.
