When the apocalypse arrives, Ji Chuan is betrayed by his girlfriend and romantic rival and thrown into a horde of zombies to be devoured. Yet he does not die. Instead, he awakens as the "King of the Zombies," retaining his human consciousness. By devouring crystal cores, he continually evolves, transforming from a mutilated, decaying corpse into a perfect human form. He also gains extraordinary abilities, including control over countless zombies and full-map perception. In a world where order has collapsed, he turns a luxury hotel into an ironclad stronghold, takes in powerful human survivors, and assembles a massive zombie army. If human hearts are more vicious than zombies, then in the name of the Zombie King, he will exact revenge on those who betrayed him and declare war on the old world.
