In the 1980s and 1990s, the sharp and capable female butcher Lin Qiaoqiao welcomes Gu Chengyu, the profligate young master who has come to the countryside to experience life. The two become acquainted through conflicts, and gradually develop romantic feelings amidst bickering. Relying on her ancestral braised food craft, Qiaoqiao starts from a small stall at the village entrance, creates a brand, becomes a technical shareholder in a food factory, and also leads her fellow villagers back home to increase income and achieve prosperity. Gu Chengyu accompanies and guards her all the way, and the two run towards each other in both directions, brewing hard days into sweetness.
