After being framed by industry insiders, Ye Xiaochen lies low in an old residential compound for three years, misunderstood by his family and neighbors as a useless freeloader. When a fraudster named Chen Jianguo infiltrates the community to swindle elderly residents out of their retirement savings, Ye secretly gathers evidence and carefully sets a trap, exposing the scam at a contract-signing ceremony. Afterward, he establishes a public-interest anti-fraud lecture program, earning his family's understanding and the community's respect while promoting justice, responsibility, and the protection of one's neighbors.
