Gu Weishan accompanies his elderly wife Xu Shuqin to borrow a washroom at Shengtai Group, and is stopped and humiliated by Ye Siyao, the sister-in-law of his son Gu Mingchuan. Front desk receptionist Song Zhiwei helps them and in turn faces threats of termination. Gu Mingchuan comes downstairs to call out Dad, and the truth is revealed. Ye Siyao abuses connections to mess with human resources and arrange for her cousin Ren Haoyu to enter the purchasing department, and is ultimately investigated and disciplined. Gu Mingchuan is suspended for a year and sent to the grassroots level for rotation, returning to the group a year later, where the front desk can finally provide normal reception.
