In a 1970s mountain village, a 5-year-old little milk darling Yingtao binds with a "bizarre and obnoxious collecting system" that constantly scams its host. The system makes her go up the mountain every day to collect outrageous items like poisonous mushrooms, bird droppings, and wild fruits, but in return, it provides the sugar, eggs, medicine, and grain that her family needs the most. Amidst the chaotic and noisy rural days, Yingtao makes trouble while supporting her family, and the whole family slowly turns their bitter days into a bright light through laughter and teasing.
