Twin lotuses on a single stalk bloom in the Jade Pool, sharing the same root. One is Ji Lian, the future Flower Goddess, whose trial of love is hard to pass; in every reincarnation, she is destined to grow old in solitude. The other is Lian Yi, a water lily who endured 13,000 years of bitter cultivation to finally take human form. The Flower Realm chooses her to descend to the mortal world and assist him through his tribulations. She accompanies him across battlefields, the pugilist world, and deep palaces, believing herself to be merely a passing traveler of his trials. Yet in the seventh life, she realizes that the kindred spirit separated ten thousand years ago was never far away. Twin lotuses, having weathered the frost and wind of seven lives, finally achieve their rightful fruit on the day the flowers bloom.
