Su Wanning and Lu Zhixing have been married for five years. Back when Lu was rescued from drowning, it was Su Wanning who saved him, but Shen Yuwei took credit for the lifesaving deed and spent years driving a wedge between the couple. Lu Zhixing blindly believed Shen Yuwei, repeatedly humiliating and neglecting Su Wanning, until he broke her heart in front of everyone at their anniversary banquet. With her heart completely broken, Su Wanning takes seven memory-erasing pills to let go of the past once and for all. After joining a rival company, she finds healing and tenderness in its CEO, Lin Yu. When Lu Zhixing discovers the truth, he is consumed by regret and even risks his health to reverse his memories and atone for his sins. After Shen Yuwei's deception is exposed, she deliberately drives her car into them. Lu Zhixing throws himself in front of the vehicle to protect Su Wanning and is severely injured. After recovering, Su Wanning finally understands her heart and chooses Lin Yu. Shen Yuwei is sentenced to fifteen years in prison, while Lu Zhixing lets Su Wanning go and quietly exits her life.
