Two notoriously rebellious female educated youth from a Beijing courtyard are sent away overnight on a train to join the production teams in a northeastern village. Everyone thinks these delicate girls arriving in the poor mountain ravines can only be pushed around by anyone, but little do they know that one of them can crush red bricks with her bare hands, and the other is proficient in precision mechanical processing. Facing difficulties, they never reason, they only use physics; facing poverty, they do not rely on relief, they rely on technology. From repairing farm tools to building machine tools, from hand-rubbing parts to setting up a precision machining workshop, they stubbornly turned a dirt-poor little village into the provincial key military-industrial trial production unit! When others are still worrying about work points, they are already making their brilliance shine on the black earth!
