Lin Ye is an ordinary, impoverished young man from Qingshigou. To pay for his seriously ill mother's treatment, he worked for three years at Tingshanju, a countryside guesthouse. Unexpectedly, the owner, Zhou Qiming, suddenly went bankrupt and fled, leaving behind 150,000 yuan in debt and entrusting both the guesthouse and its alluring proprietress, Shen Mei, to Lin Ye. Gao Wancai arrives with debt collectors to demand repayment and even tries to take advantage of Shen Mei. At this critical moment, Lin Ye unexpectedly awakens the Beast Possession System. By possessing nearby animals, he can acquire their corresponding abilities. Ultimately, he uses the system to lead the villagers in establishing an ecological cooperative, turning local mountain products, tourism, and traditional mountain-foraging culture into an industry that truly belongs to the entire village.
