Qin Chuan, who had been missing for five years, returned in disarray just as his fiancee, Lin Qinghe, was being forced to accept a marriage proposal from Song Ning, the village chief's son. Disguised as a poor young man, Qin Chuan was actually the wealthiest man in the hidden world, wanting to use poverty to test his lover's true heart. Facing pressure from family and mockery from others, Lin Qinghe stood firm and chose Qin Chuan, protecting him everywhere despite the embarrassment and hardships he endured. Just as the Lin family made things difficult for him in every possible way due to poverty, a large number of bodyguards arrived with tens of millions in gold bars and lavish gifts, and Qin Chuan's identity was exposed. After going through family entanglements and numerous twists and turns, Qin Chuan took out a pigeon-blood ruby ring to propose to Lin Qinghe, but unexpectedly received an unexpected reply.
