Three companions venture deep into an ancient cave dwelling in the Black Wind Mountains in search of spiritual herbs. Along the way, they face deadly mechanisms and blazing flames, followed by an attack from a hundred-year-old scarlet centipede. Lin Yu, who appears timid and weak, turns the tables and kills Zhao Meng before continuing alone into the depths of the ancient cave to seek treasure. The cave is filled with danger: an ancient demonic spider, a poisonous python at the Core Formation stage, and thousand-year-old restrictions confront him one after another. Relying on his concealed False Core realm strength and exceptional cunning, Lin Yu slays demons and claims treasures, obtaining the Soul-Devouring Ancient Sword, the Shadow Escape Technique, and a Seven-Colored Spirit-Merging Pill. His path to immortality has only just begun, and a greater storm is brewing in the shadows.
