In the 1990s, Chen Qingshan, a laid-off worker from a state-owned machinery factory, went into the mountains to gather goods and stumbled upon eight dragon eggs hatching into eight dragon girls who recognized him as their father. He brought his daughters back to Liushugou, but was driven out of the ancestral home by his eldest uncle's family, forcing them to take shelter in a hunter's cabin and make a living by gathering mountain goods. Raising the dragon girls and gaining recognition unlocked various dragon transformation abilities, with which Chen Qingshan gathered mountain delicacies and game, leading to an increasingly affluent life. Purchasing agent Shen Qinghe accompanied and helped him all the way, and finally, the family settled down and achieved complete happiness.
