In the 1990s, Zhao Heng ventures into Yun Yuan Mountain in the dead of night to repay his debts. On the verge of death, he awakens a Beast-Devouring System that allows him to obtain soul rings and acquire talents by hunting wild animals. From leopards to wild boars and black bears, he gathers ginseng and medicinal herbs, stands up for the oppressed, and sells mountain goods to build his family business. He also uncovers the truth behind his father's paralysis and his older brother's tragic death. When unscrupulous county-town merchants join forces with overseas forces to seize the mountain and harm its wildlife, Zhao Heng teams up with Lin Man, a knowledgeable herbalist, to protect the medicinal valley and the villagers using the power of a hundred beasts. Together, they expose layers of conspiracies, clear the family's name, lead the entire village to prosperity through mountain hunting, and breathe new life into their mountain community.
