In 1985, business tycoon Lin Zhiyuan is reborn in Changshou Village, where he catches his older brother, Lin Dafu, seizing his father's compensation money and forcing his wife to remarry. He exposes his brother's scheme of secretly keeping the accounts and reselling mugwort, then demands that he return the money. Lin Zhiyuan leases a barren hillside to grow alkali grass, secures an order for mugwort, and discovers that the mountain spring can be bottled as mineral water. Lin Dafu repeatedly plots against him, but Lin Zhiyuan foils every scheme. When Changshou Spring successfully launches and receives a major order, Lin Zhiyuan supports his wife, Su Xiaoxi, in becoming the company's legal representative and leads the village toward prosperity.
