Xiao Zifeng, who transmigrated into the Jianghu of the Great Zhou dynasty and holds a bizarre annual check-in system, has long feigned a disability in a wheelchair, living in seclusion in Jubei City. On a snowy night, he rescues the female assassin Zhao Xuanluo who is being hunted down, and gets embroiled in the disputes between the Jianghu and the imperial court due to a mysterious letter. Armed with absurd skills such as the 'Immortal Kneeling' sword technique and Yin-Yang needles, wearing a mask and piloting the mechanical vermilion bird to force back ten thousand Northern Barbarian troops, he becomes a legendary figure in a single battle. Since then, he roams the Jianghu, punishing evil and promoting goodness, and establishes the Nine Heavens Sect, causing much hilarity. Along the way, he uncovers the conspiracies of multiple factions, touches upon the truth of the world, clashes with the mysterious organization 'Heavenly Gate', and walks his own unique Jianghu legend amidst laughter and curses.
