Lin Youwang, a key technical specialist, repairs an imported machine tool worth 30 million yuan, saving the factory an overseas order worth 600 million yuan. However, his apprentice Chen Fang and factory director Zhou Qiangye steal the credit, and Lin is cruelly reassigned and given a pay cut. For the sake of his sick family member, he endures the injustice briefly, but when he receives a lucrative job offer, he decisively resigns. As the old factory's equipment collapses and it falls into crisis, Zhou Qiangye resorts to threats and inducements to beg Lin to help. Lin exposes the truth and reports the corruption, bringing down the old factory. He joins a new company and stages a remarkable comeback with his exceptional technical skills.
