On graduation carnival night, Chen Kang opens his eyes to find himself lying in bed with campus belle Su Fanxing, while Luo Xiao and the Su family security break in to frame them. But Su Fanxing is a reincarnator; she kicks Luo Xiao flying, protects Chen Kang publicly, and banishes Luo Xiao's family from the Su Group. That very night, Chen Kang binds with the Calamity System and gets teleported into the Calamity Desert. He slaughters insect swarms across levels, subdues Tata, awakens Main God abilities, and fights his way to become the Lord of Oasis City. After Su Fanxing is sucked into the calamity world, Chen Kang sweeps across cities and slaughters the Black Armored Insect Mother, becoming the Lord of the Calamity Desert and finally finding her back.
