To escape loan sharks, Zhou Zhenxing flees back to his hometown. Because his name resembles that of Zhou Zhengxing, the unscrupulous businessman who is supposed to come and provide poverty relief, the villagers mistake him for the wealthy investor, Mr. Zhou. Initially planning to pocket the two million yuan in poverty-relief funds and disappear, he is forced to maintain the disguise after threats from the village bully and the village chief's earnest pleas. Unexpectedly, his series of absurd instructions leads to one accidental success after another: villagers discover an ancient tomb and turn it into a tourist attraction, crabs fed random medicines become a global sensation, and his ridiculous investment talk attracts enormous funding. Ultimately, in his confrontation with the real Mr. Zhou, he exposes the latter's fraud.
