When they pressure him to provide 300,000 yuan to buy Shen Hao a marital home, Lu Cheng'an unexpectedly agrees to pay the full price. However, he takes everyone to a dilapidated countryside outbuilding worth just 3,000 yuan, exposing Shen Hao's lies and vanity. Eventually, Shen Hao comes to his senses, works to repay his debts, and learns to stand on his own feet.
