The gambling addict Chen Daqiang caused his wife to die tragically during childbirth. Reborn before everything fell apart, he uses his extraordinary eyes, which can see through seafood, and the sea-foraging skills he gained over two lifetimes to protect his pregnant wife, humiliate the loan-sharking bullies, and make connections with the county magistrate through his valuable catches. He then secures a lucrative business order, but this brings him into conflict with Ma Shichang, the local fish king who monopolizes the trade. Forming a sea-foraging team, Chen breaks the blockade with a live-fish transport boat and wins over suppliers with fair weighing practices. In the end, he joins forces with the county magistrate to send both the fish king and the bullies to prison. With all the villains brought to justice, the once-despised troublemaker becomes a promising young man who protects his wife and daughter and leads his village to prosperity.
