Transmigrated divination master Ye Shuangchi entered the palace to cast a divination, calculating that Empress Chu Yunshu had already perished. The Empress Dowager successively set up illusions to cover up the truth. Ye Shuangchi opened the Fiend-Breaking Golden Eyes, and by borrowing the Guigu secret lore exposed the conspiracy of the Southern Border Saintess You Tan in executing the cranial-swap technique to impersonate the Empress. The Empress Dowager colluded with the Southern Border, attempting to use the dragon veins to raise Gu worms to subvert Great Qi. You Tan counter-killed the Empress Dowager and fled to the Dragon Valley of Southern Border, with everyone going to stop her grand plan of ascending to divinity. Facing You Tan and her master Xuan Ye, Chu Yunshu's lingering soul desperately destroyed the grand array, perishing together with You Tan. Xuan Ye sacrificed himself to resurrect Chu Yunshu, after which everyone retired in seclusion to Guigu, the Emperor abdicated, and the world returned to peace.
