In the 1960s, in Nanwa Production Brigade, the mischievous and quirky five-year-old chubby girl Zhou Jiayao has a frog perched on her head, while a big white goose and a little yellow dog are always by her side. Bold and strong, she gets into all sorts of hilarious trouble and even carries home a young boy from out of town who has been traumatized and lost in a daze. Through their everyday lives harvesting wheat and exploring the wilderness, the family experiences extraordinary adventures, cherishes the warmth of home, and finds unique joy amid difficult times.
