In Qingwan Bay at the turn of the millennium, impoverished fisherman Chen Haisheng has a miraculous encounter after falling into the sea and becomes a part-time keeper at the Dragon Palace. By regularly feeding various giant sea beasts, he gains extraordinary marine abilities corresponding to each creature. He teams up with his childhood friend Su Wanqing to manage the boat's accounts and operations, and meets Shen Zhixia, the owner of Mingyue Seafood Restaurant, who helps him establish a premium seafood supply channel. In the Dragon Palace, the cool and innocent dragon maiden Ao Mingzhu accompanies him as he completes one feeding mission after another. As his business flourishes, he gains family bonds, friendship, and love, transforming from an impoverished fisherman into a major seafood tycoon in Qingwan Bay. He is also promoted to head keeper of the Dragon Palace's sea-beast park, successfully managing both his human-world business and his duties in the Dragon Palace.
