Fishing village teenager Qin Tian accidentally steps into the immortal cultivation world. Initially tested with rare spirit roots, he is tragically misjudged as having six-element miscellaneous spirit roots and becomes the laughingstock of the sect. Inadvertently offending Cao Xu, young master of the Cao family, he is cast into the perilous Wasteland Valley. In this desperate situation, he awakens the chaotic spatial power of his ancestral pendant, capable of refining pills and ores, effortlessly breaking through cultivation bottlenecks. Relying on his strength, Qin Tian repeatedly defuses the Cao family's covert plots, advances through an encounter on Gravel Island, and saves the fairy Ye Qiushui, with the two developing mutual affection and heading towards each other. Enduring sect conflicts and enemies' encirclements all the way, Qin Tian grows against the trend with a resilient temperament and heaven-defying fortune. This work is adapted from tomato novel author Chu Dong's original work of the same name, Mortal Ascension Record.
