On the day of General Pei Du's triumphant return, Shen Zhaoshuang presents a funeral notice to seek justice for her father, who died after being falsely accused of colluding with the enemy. The injustice back then was actually orchestrated by Army Supervisor Han Chongyue. Shen Zhaoshuang sneaks into the military post station to gather evidence, becoming entangled in a relationship of love and hatred with the guilt-ridden Pei Du. In the end, the true culprit is brought to justice, and her father's wrongful case is vindicated. Pei Du asks for punishment himself, and the two, bearing past scars, guard the border post road together.
