Gu Qingyu is reborn and returns to the entry assessment of the Taiyi Sword Sect, avoiding the master-devouring demonic sword of his previous life, only to find that the remnant soul of his master from the previous life, Yuxi, is parasitic in his sea of consciousness, and he also awakens the Two Lives Karma Ledger capable of foreseeing blessings and misfortunes. Relying on correcting karma to gain Heavenly Dao rewards, his cultivation breaks through multiple realms consecutively, successively saving alchemy genius Xiao Fan and future medicine saint Lin Mu, counter-killing demonic undercover Zhao Tiancheng, yet arousing deep suspicion from the present-day Fairy Yuxi. He is exceptionally accepted as a personal disciple, follows his master down the mountain to reinforce Qingxuan City, and along the way deals with and tests each other in all sorts of ways, ultimately plunging the group into an inescapable net cast by the Blood Fiend Sect, opening a game-breaking battle in a desperate situation.
