Because Liu Xiuying and Chen Rong's children did not return home for the New Year, the village head made up a well-intentioned lie to get the children to come back home for the New Year. Here, a misunderstanding led to the death of boss Chen Rong, resulting in a series of unfilial events. Due to a fever and cold, taking expired medicine by mistake caused the old lady to be hospitalized. The old lady took the initiative to leave the hospital and, with the help of the village head, survived, but misfortune still came: the second son was involved in a car accident resulting in a broken leg, requiring a large amount of money for treatment, but there was no money. Through begging and other methods, and with the help of the village head, the mother raised enough money to save the second son's leg, and the children were moved by their mother.
