To complete the housing project for Dingsheng Real Estate as quickly as possible, Chen Lei fronted 380,000 yuan in construction costs and worked around the clock with his crew for three months to meet the deadline, only to be given a hard time by the boss's daughter. The boss, Zhao Tianzhu, not only takes his daughter Zhao Qin's side but also withholds the final payment, blaming Chen Lei for alleged construction quality problems. Chen Lei begins to follow the contract to the letter and refuses to cover for their rule-breaking any longer. After being maliciously terminated, he is recruited by the client company's engineering department and makes a comeback as the client's construction supervisor.
