In the northern winter, rime ice along the riverbank fails to appear, and the spiritual object Wuling grows increasingly weak, turning to the Northern Realm Spiritual Objects Agency for help. Retired folklore archivist Han Songnian and his granddaughter Han Xiaohe visit the riverbank, tracing lost frost-covered branches and wind-mist tracks. They discover that the old pier's water outlet is blocked by covered snow, and a shortcut through the forest has destroyed the windbreak layer and compacted the snow in the root zone. Assisted by rangers and spiritual partners, the two safely dredge the waterway, guide pedestrians back to the original trail, gently cover the area with loose snow, and repair the windbreak layer. As the moisture returns, everyone patiently waits for natural cooling, finally welcoming a forest full of sparkling rime ice, and Wuling regains its vitality.
