Matriarch Shen Mengyun returns to the family and sets about reorganizing the family style. Faced with the younger generation's obsession with competing for family property and their idleness, she arranges for family members to go deep down to the grassroots to experience the value of practical work. When her children and grandchildren remain obsessed with conflicts of interest, she takes a fancy to a kind and resilient delivery girl, appreciates her character, and nurtures her attentively as a candidate for family successor. Some harbor greed and plot in secret, attempting to secure private gains through medical matters; the matriarch calmly sees through the scheme, uncovers the truth, and preserves the evidence. With her wisdom and courage, she rectifies the family atmosphere, leads the troubled Shen family out of the trough, and sets the code of conduct for the Shen family with her upright backbone.
