Modern capitalist Gao Yang travels through time to become the spoiled legitimate grandson of the Duke of Daqian's estate. Just as he wakes up, he bears the burden of rashly tearing the Empress's decree seeking talents, and is publicly dumped by his fiancee. On the Jinluan Throne, he answers the Empress's governance dilemmas with a solar plot that pierces human nature, overshadowing top scholar Cui Xinghe. In Linjiang, lowering grain prices, he uses high prices to gather grain merchants, then opens the granaries to release grain, triggering a stampede and crash; in Guanzhong facing a locust disaster, he proposes using birds to fight locusts, work relief, and sharing the disaster with corrupt officials and aristocratic families. While resolving court crises, he plots revenge against Prince Rong, rising step by step to become the Empress's most trusted poisonous strategist.
