Li Qingyue, the owner of an aquatic products store, notices his neighbor Wang Dawei behaving strangely and deduces that he has been reborn and that the apocalypse is approaching. He sells his property and goes all in on stockpiling supplies, preparing to survive in a secluded shelter in the suburbs. When the extreme-cold apocalypse arrives, his advance preparations allow him to live comfortably. He unexpectedly gains a strange beast named Li Qingyan and rescues Long Jiuxing, a powerful fighter being hunted by Wang Dawei. Wang Dawei establishes the Happiness Base and rules over Springwater City, placing a bounty on the two men. However, he repeatedly falls for their tricks, and his wife and subordinates defect to the neighboring Overlord Base with 100,000 trading coins. Meanwhile, Li Qingyue's group steadily develops their shelter.
